Don Castro Regional Recreation Area
Don Castro Regional Park is 101 acres with a fishing lake, swim lagoon and paved and unpaved trails for pedestrians and bicycles. There is a bathhouse with shower, vending machines, a sandy beach and large lawn areas. For a map of the park, please click here
Operating Hours
Park hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in spring, summer and fall and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in winter months.
Schedule
Swimming in the lagoon is allowed only when lifeguards are on duty from the end of May through September from 11 am to 5pm.
Fees
Parking fee is $5 weekends and holidays. Dog fee is $2 per dog but guide dogs are free. There is a beach access fee of $3 for ages 16 to 61, $2 for ages 1 to 15, seniors ages 62 and older and the disabled.
Disabled Access
There are wheelchair accessible restrooms, drinking fountains, and disabled parking. There is a wheelchair accessible fishing dock near Siesta Picnic Area.
