VIP Chinese Culture & History Tour

On this lovely sunny day, we took a group of visually impaired and blind people on a leisurely walking tour of the Chinese Cultural Garden. This garden is part of Overfelt Gardens, a 33-acre park that opened in 1966. We learned about the garden that commemorates Sun Yat Sen, Chiang Kai shek, Confucius, and Chinese culture in general. We stopped at the historic Overfelt House built in the 1800’s to learn about Mildred Overfelt and her philanthropic investments in the community. We ended the day with a social picnic lunch. Thank you to Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and Knight Foundation for their support of this program.
