Aromas of Spring Wildflowers

Our favorite California naturalist led us on a leisurely walk at Rancho Canada del Oro, a preserve known for its wildflower display. He taught us all about our native wildflowers and their special adaptations that allow them to thrive in adverse conditions. There were flowers to touch and smell along the way. We had a guest birder who identified some of the birds serenading us. We ended the day with lunch at Calero Lake County Park. Thank you to Open Space Authority and Knight Foundation for their support of this special program.
