Rosie the Riveter & John Muir Day Trip

Our first stop on this history-filled journey was the John Muir House for an expert-guided tour of the home to learn about America's most famous and eloquent naturalist and conservationist. After a break for lunch in a trendy Thai restaurant, we met and learned about the famous Park Ranger Betty Soskin's life story at Rosie the Riveter National Park, celebrating a cultural icon of WWII and representing the women who came to work in the factories and shipyards of Richmond. We had plenty of time before and after meeting Ms. Soskin to view and interact with the exhibits at this museum before heading home. This is a photo of our group with Betty Soskin herself!
