Long Ridge Open Space Preserve
Long Ridge Open Space Preserve is a 2035 acre park with about 13 miles of dirt trails for hikers, bicycles, and equestrians. There are scenic views on the ridge trails with benches strategically placed for viewing the Santa Cruz mountains and Pacific Ocean on clear days. Keep an eye out for rock formations and native plants along the way. There are no restrooms or drinking water in the preserve.

Use these coordinates for the main parking area 37°17'25.8"N 122°09'15.9"W on Skyline Boulevard about 3.6 miles north of its intersection with Highway 9, and approximately 3.3 miles south of its intersection with Page Mill Road. If you are coming from the north on Skyline Blvd., the pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right. From the south, the pullout for the Grizzly Flat parking area is near the Palo Alto city limits sign on the right. Parking is also available in the Caltrans parking area at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 35 or by heading west on Highway 9 for about one mile, there will be a small lot on the right for the Achistaca trailhead.
