Don Castro Regional Recreation Area
Don Castro Regional Park is 101 acres with a fishing lake, swim lagoon and paved and unpaved trails for pedestrians and bicycles. The trails around the lake and lagoon are for hiking only. There is wilderness around the two water areas that is home to turtles, frogs, ducks, raccoons and deer.
Operating Hours
Park hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in spring, summer and fall and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in winter months.
Fees
There are parking and dog fees but guide dogs are free.
Disabled Access
There are wheelchair accessible restrooms, drinking fountains, and disabled parking. There is a wheelchair accessible fishing dock near Siesta Picnic Area.
