Shadelands Ranch Historical Museum

The redwood framed house was built by pioneer Hiram Penniman in 1903. It contains many historical artifacts as well as an archive of Contra Costa and Walnut Creek history including collections of old newspapers, photographs and government records.

Operating Hours

Hours of operation are Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Closed from late November to early February.

Fees

Admission is $3 per adult; $1 per youth age 7 to 17 and students and children 6 and under are free.
