Golf in South Bay
This is a public, executive length, 52 acre facility located along Stevens Creek designed by Clark Glasson in 1962. It has a comfortable, easily walked course that is abundant with wildlife including rabbit, deer, and the occasional quail. It is a par 60 course with 12 par 3s and 6 par 4s. They have a golf shop and restaurant.
Designed by Robert Muir Graves, the course has open fairways on flat terrain with great walking. It plays well over 6700 yards.
The course was developed on 155 acres of city owned property. It features a championship 18 hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves. The golf course is links style, par 72, length 6,704 yards from the Green tees, 6,329 from the Yellow tees, 5,918 from the Black tees, and 5,492 from the Gray tees. The course is a challenging layout for all skill levels, and plays to a rating of 72.4 with a slope of 118. The golf course was constructed on a sanitary landfill, and uses reclaimed water for irrigation.
This is a par 71, 6742 yard course surrounded by many beautiful trees. Enjoy the wide fairways, fast greens and strategically placed hazards. It is also is home of one of the finest par 3 short courses in Northern California. The short course has water hazards on 4 holes and many sand traps.
The course is situated in the rolling hills of Santa Clara County with parks bordering the course. The practice facilities include a large area for sand bunker practice, a 25 yard chipping area and a 22 stall driving range.
The golf course is a 9 hole, 1,502 yard executive course. It is ideal for the beginner golfer with ample practice facilities and shorter length holes. Eighteen range stalls are available to the public for practice, warm up before play, or for excercise and therapy. Golf clubs are available at no extra charge. The range is well lit for evening practice.
The Villages is a community of active adults age 55+ which hosts a championship golf course with a pro shop, clubhouse and restaurant. Their par-72, 18-hole course in the rolling Evergreen foothills of San Jose was designed by architect Robert Muir Graves. The Villages also has a par-3, 9-hole course and a 15-stall, 225 yard driving range. Each month they host a wide range of golf-related activities and clubs. There is a restaurant on-site that serves lunch and dinner as well as a bistro that serves breakfast and light meals.
