Charles Street Gardens
Located on one acre of City of Sunnyvale land, Charles Street Gardens is a Sunnyvale Community garden run entirely by volunteers. It is home to 92 resident only plots full of flowers, fruits, vegetables and other plants in 92 large plots. Gardeners must use organic methods and can only plant California native plants to ensure sustainability. They have gardening seminars, plant sales and other community activities. You can apply for your own plot or volunteer to take care of the Food Forest and other public plots.
Requirements
Must be a Sunnyvale resident. No dogs are allowed. Must be organic gardening and California native plants.
Operating Hours
Daylight hours Monday through Saturday.
Fees
There is an annual fee. Apply for your own plot by filing out the online application.
Disabled Access
Yes. There are special raised plots for differently-abled and senior gardeners.
