Woodside Store

The Woodside Store is operated for the Department of Parks by the San Mateo County Historical Association. It is an historical site specifically, State Registered Landmark No. 93 and National Register Landmark.  Built in 1854, it is a fully restored wooden structure once as a general store, post office, and dental office during the prime of logging industry in Woodside. It is now a museum that displays 1800 period goods that a wagon maker, lumberman, or blacksmith would purchase and other artifacts.  Volunteer to be a docent working at the Store or giving students tour, make special presentations and exhibits.

Open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm The Store is closed other days and holidays.

Using Highway 280 or 101, take Highway 84 west through the Town of Woodside to Kings Mountain Road. Turn right (north) on Kings Mountain Road.  The store will be on your left at the corner of Kings Mountain Road and Tripp Road.  From the coast, use Highway 1 or 35 (Skyline Boulevard) to Highway 84. Take Highway 84 east to Kings Mountain Road. Turn left (north) on Kings Mountain Road. The store will be on your right at the corner of Kings Mountain Road and Tripp Road.
