San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles

The museum promotes the art, craft and history of quilts and textiles. It also provides an understanding of the role of quilts and textiles in the lives of their makers, in cultural traditions, and as historical documents. Be a museum greeter, gallery attendant, educators at schools, working on special events, exhibit installations or sales shop associate.

Requirements

No prior experience is required and training is provided. We ask for a commitment of at least 2 days per month, which may be split into half days.

Operating Hours

Wednesday thru Friday from 11 am to 4 pm. Saturday & Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. The Museum is closed on major holidays.

Nearest VTA Bus Stops are located at 1st & Reed, 2nd & William, and 2nd & San Salvador. Nearest VTA Light Rail is at the Convention Center Station.  Metered parking is available on the street in front of the Museum. The nearest public parking lots are located at San Salvador and Market, the Convention Center garage, and the CSJ lot under I-280 at First Street (see map at top of page). The CSJ lot is open 24 hours. It costs $5 on weekdays (6am-6pm) and is free weekdays after 6pm, and also on weekends and holidays.
