Call for volunteer opportunities serving San Mateo County with possilbility of working from home. Opportunities include helping with events, policy changes, office support, working with survivors, drive patients to their medical appointments and working at their resale shops.
Call for volunteer opportunities serving the Peninsula and South Bay Area.
Opportunities include (1) Physician Office Visitation Program: make sure CCFA materials are available in physician offices. Requires regular visits to approximately 3-4 physician offices. (2) General Clerical Work:light office work, including stuffing envelopes and computer work, can be as needed or on a regular basis. (3) Education: planning seminars, securing speakers for seminars and seminar publicity. (4) Special Events Committee:help to plan and prepare for the variety of special events throughout the year. (5) Support Group Facilitators.

Women and men of all ages and backgrounds participate in MS Society events, comfort peers living with MS, lend their professional talents to special projects and office work, chair their own fundraisers, lobby elected officials, and even provide leadership as members of the Board of Trustees. Peninsula Family Service is seeking volunteers for its Senior Peer Counseling Program. Senior Peer Counselors serve older adults in San Mateo County who are experiencing depression, fear, anxiety, loss of a loved one, loneliness, changes in health or isolation.
