Shoreline Lake (Mountain View)
Shoreline Lake is manmade and offers a place for sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, rowing and canoeing (no motorized craft are allowed). It is also a wildlife sanctuary and home to many rare, migratory birds. There are 50 acres of lake shores that can be used for picnicking or take out from the cafe. Pedalboats, canoes, kayaks, rowboats, windsurfers or sailboats can be rented on an hourly basis. Also available are public restrooms and freshwater showers and 50 cents per use lockers. Wind patterns March through September are lighter in the mornings (5 to 8 knots until about 12:30pm) increasing to 15 to 18 knots by 3:00pm.
