Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (San Mateo)
CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse. They provide free and confidential emergency, intervention and prevention services, including the county’s only emergency shelter and transitional housing for victims/survivors and services in Spanish, English and Tagalog. Their volunteer program offers many volunteer opportunities, including direct service, administrative, community outreach and education. They also offer short- and long-term commitments to match your interests, schedule and skills. Volunteers learn and apply valuable skills, including peer counseling, domestic violence safety assessment and crisis intervention.
