Volunteer your time and services in helping our low-income client community obtain equal access to our justice system. They welcome attorneys and civic-minded individuals who wish to assist their attorneys and advocates in representing clients before judicial and administrative bodies.
Volunteer to ensure that everyone lives in safe, decent and affordable housing. Opportunities include working on a construction site, helping in the office, serving on a committee and helping to plan events.
Volunteers prepare and provide meals and mentoring to clients as well as staff support.
Volunteer drivers for the areas of San Carlos, Redwood City, Menlo Park, East Palo Alto, Atherton, Portola Valley and Woodside wanted to deliver meals once a week or more.
Rebuilding together rehabilitate the homes of low income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may live in warmth, safety and independence. There are three different ways to participate: (1) Rebuilding Day Skilled Volunteer- skilled in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical and other trades. If you are an accomplished do-it-yourselfer or professional tradesperson, become a Rebuilding Day Skilled Volunteer (2) Rebuilding Day Volunteer- no specific skills necessary, but bring a willingness to learn. Volunteer one Saturday of your time and really make a difference. (3) Committee Volunteer: helps select the projects, coordinate events and materials, fundraising and recruit volunteers.
Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over with more than 850 active members. With more than 85 partnered organizations, you can choose from a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and learn new skills or fine tune your current ones. All volunteers receive free supplemental accident, personal and automobile liability insurance while on duty and travelling to volunteer job. RSVP offers an annual recognition event to honor all volunteers.
Volunteers help provide food to people in need in our community by getting food ready for distribution and distributing it to the people in need and health and nutiriton education and outreach.
